About MOXIE

The Moxie Production Group intends to offer students serious about the industry trade of filmmaking a chance to experience and work in an environment that reflects professional independent filmmaking. We believe that a comprehensive education in filmmaking must include a wide variety of production experiences, both within the classroom and outside of it. Most importantly, we would like to develop projects that improve, support, and celebrate each member's portfolio of work, allowing them greater opportunities when it comes to applying for graduate schools, internships, and jobs.

Moreover, The Moxie Production Group strives to achieve wider recognition for its work and in turn hopes to generate prestige and recognition for SCTV and various other student media organizations at the University of California Santa Cruz. With this in mind, The Moxie Production Group aims to function in a manner similar to that of professional independent production companies. However, it is our purpose to contribute to and further enrich film academics at UCSC by providing a stimulating production environment that extends beyond the boundaries of the classroom.
